Promotions & new on the job




        • Eric Clajus has been named audio-visual manager for the Greater Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Clajus has worked with video production companies in Greater Cincinnati as a free-lance videographer for the past 10 years.

        • Mark McCoy and Chris Kelley have been named managers, industry solutions marketing at SDRC, and George L. Rendell has been named director.

        • Kevin K. Werner has been named vice president, sales for Miller-Valentine Construction Inc. Since joining the business development team at Miller-Valentine Group in 1995, Mr. Werner has worked with the company's clients on site selection, feasibility analyses, incentives negotiation, and project programming. He is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky University and holds an Ohio real estate license.

        • Todd Felthaus has been named senior vice president and trust officer at Bank of Kentucky; Deborah Johnson, assistant trust officer and assistant cashier; and Jay Melzer has joined the bank as vice president of commercial lending.

        • Sandra Bolek has been named Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library's first Internet site coordinator. Ms. Bolek will work under the head of public services to analyze, develop, and coordinate content for the library's Web page. She received her master's degree in library science from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign.

        • Sue Nadermann has been named chief, accounting branch of the Internal Revenue Service. Ms. Nadermann is a 32 year IRS employee, and is now in charge of balancing and accounting.

        • Kevin J. Pfirrman has joined J. Malsh & Co., marketing communications agency, as account executive. Mr. Pfirrman will work with public relations accounts and also serve as a copywriter for advertising accounts. He was project manager with Ira Thomas Associates Inc.

        • Patricia Z. Timm has been appointed executive director at the Metropolitan Growth Alliance.

        • Frank Chikey has been named general manager of hotel operations at the Best Western Springdale Hotel and Conference Center. Mr. Chikey will be responsible for management of the Best Western team as well as overall customer service and quality assurance. He has 28 years of experience in the hotel industry.

        • H. Gregg St. John has been named regional consulting leader at Olive, consulting solutions.

        • Erica Ridley has joined Bridge Integrated Communications, advertising agency, as a web programmer.

        • Jamie Charlton, David Clark and Mike Broughton have been named personal financial advisers with American Express Financial Advisors Inc., Cincinnati office, and Patrice Gosse, personal financial adviser with the Florence office.

        • Suzanne Hargy has joined OstermanCron office furniture dealership as furniture specification analyst. Ms. Hargy earned a degree in interior design from Miami University. She has worked in the furniture industry for 13 years.

        • Brian Singer has joined Ipsos-ASI as director, brand equity/tracking; Laurent Flores has joined the company as vice president, interactive; Gregg Wootten to vice president, data management; Martin Kist to vice president, international research; and Catherine Ross has joined the company as vice president, ad testing division.

        • The following associates have been named senior associates in the assurance/business advisory services group at PricewaterhouseCoopers: Rob Bertke, Abbie Chan, Tyson Grace, Laura Greig, Josh Korth, Kim Landrum, Erin Linck, Colin O'Conner, Greg Organisciak, Dave Plouffe, Chris Wachtel, Mike Waldman, Blair Woodworth, and Erin Vessalo. Named senior associates in the tax and legal services group: Sherri Creighton, Pete Goedde, Kenna Goodman, Eric Meeks, Bill Tucker and Bryan Wheatley.

        • Brad Wolfe has been named director of business development at Intelligence, formerly Schmidt-Vogel Consulting, USA, a global consulting firm. Mr. Wolfe will lead all activities surrounding the roll out of the company's new industry specific solutions and services in the U.S. market. He will also be responsible for the strategic development and growth of relationships with partner companies. He was vice president at Kelly, Levey and Associates, and also spent 10 years at Jergens in the operations group.

        • Paul Allen has been appointed vice president, nutrition and health at Cognis Corp., a global specialty chemicals company. Mr. Allen is responsible for the worldwide development, direction and marketing of the nutrition and health division of Cognis. He also maintains his responsibility for the development and implementation for supply chain concepts and direction in North America. He has been with the company for 15 years.

        • Murali M. Muraleetharan has joined Clovernook Center for the Blind as vice president of finance. Mr. Muraleetharan will oversee all financial aspects of Clovernook's business operations, including budgeting, financial reporting and accounting. He was audit manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.

        • Laurie A. Boyers, staff accountant with Barnes, Dennig & Co. Ltd. has been named treasurer of the National Association of Women in Construction, Cincinnati chapter for the 2000-2001 term.

        • John P. Tafaro has joined Kohnen & Patton LLP law firm.. He practices in the areas of commercial transactions, commercial litigation and real estate.

        • Mark Strung has been named manager of validation and regulatory affairs for Lockwood Greene, Cincinnati office.

        • Andrea Herzig has been named marketing director and community outreach coordinator for Cancer Family Care.

        • Eric Steva has joined Steed Hammond Paul's Cincinnati office as project manager. Mr. Steva will be responsible for programming, preparation of schematics, design development, preparation of contract document, development of presentation materials and client communication. He has 10 years of architectural experience. He was with the Drees Co.

        • Tony Jenkins has joined Neyer Properties as project superintendent, and Sharon Fricke has joined the company as commercial industrial facility designer.

        • Joshua Pittman has joined the Drawbridge Inn as corporate executive chef.

        • Elizabeth Chapman has joined Cincinnati Association for the Blind as low-vision specialist. Ms Chapman provides instruction in the use of magnification that is prescribed by CAB's low-vision optometrists. She helps people determine the best vision aids to fit their individual lifestyles and needs.

        • Robert Howard has joined Time Warner Cable, Cincinnati division as online editor for Road Runner; Bill Thomison has been named area manager for the Middletown office; and Scot McEwan has joined the public affairs office as director.

        • Michael E. Boberg has been named arts communications manager at the Cincinnati Institute of Fine Arts.

        • Tony Reynaldo has joined DeanHouston Inc. as designer.

        • Tom Pugh has been appointed vice president of quality management at Litho Industries Inc.

        • Bill Graven has been named clinical director for Joseph House for Homeless Veterans. Mr. Graven heads a staff of chemical dependency counselors and licensed social workers who strive to help homeless veterans rebuild their lives. He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War and has worked in addiction treatment programs for the past 20 years.

        • Steve Paxton has been appointed global marketing manager at Rotex, and Mark Moore named parts and customer support manager.

        • Chris Baker has been appointed creative director of design at Northlich, and Bob Guard to creative director of Brandstorm.

        • Kathy Pandich has joined Aero Fulfillment Services as the new implementation manager and Kirk Troutman, operations manager, fulfillment, Mason.

Awards & honors
        • Diane Wright, performance improvement manager/client rights officer at mental health agency CRI has received the annual Advocacy Award from the Hamilton County Community Mental Health Board.

        • Cincinnati tax lawyers Patrick J. Mitchell of Taft, Stettinius & Hollister, Dale O. Lierman of Dale O. Lierman Co., LPA, and Mark E. Sims of Graydon, Head & Ritchey, were approved for membership to the Federal Taxation Specialization Board of Ohio by the Ohio Board of Governors and the Ohio Supreme Court.

        • J.A. Doepker Associates, Fort Thomas, has received a national Design-Build Award for design and construction excellence for the W.J. Baker Co. facility in Wilder.
