Pomeroy Inc. acquires Datanet
Pomeroy Computer Resources Inc., the Hebron computer sales and service provider, has completed its second acquisition in the last month with the purchase of Datanet Inc., a Raleigh, N.C., information technology provider.
Terms of the deal weren't disclosed, but Pomeroy said Datanet had revenues last year of $32 million and employs 111. The company said the acquisition would expand its customer base and capabilities in the Raleigh area. Earlier in July, Pomeroy acquired Datasource Hagen, a Minneapolis-St. Paul computer service provider with annual revenues of $10.6 million.
Delta workers voting on union
Delta Air Lines baggage handlers and cargo workers will have another chance to vote on joining the Transport Workers Union because of mistakes in an election earlier this year, the carrier said.
The National Mediation Board, which oversees such elections, decided that it erred in sending out the wrong ballots to 240 Delta workers and in disclosing how many cards the union gathered in support of the election, the airline said. The board also found that Delta shouldn't have forced workers to attend meetings on the company's opposition to the union drive.
Only about 17 percent of the 10,800 workers voted for the union in ballots tallied March 3.
Some 1,000 Delta ramp and cargo workers at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport are eligible to vote in the TWU election.
