Shoot a pig today
By Owen Findsen
The Cincinnati Enquirer
Pigs are poised for all who want to pose. All around the town, cameras are clicking as people by the thousands snap photos of friends and family with Big Pig Gig pigs. In just a few months, these fiberglass porkers have become part of our landscape.
Call it the Big Pig Camera Safari. The goal: Capture on film as many of the more than 400 artist-designed pigs in the Big Pig Gig, the public art project taking place in Cincinnati, Covington and Newport.
Humble as they may be, pigs can pose as gracefully as a Paris model. So next time you're out with your camera, give each pig a second look. You can take artistic pig-tures, too.
Today, on the occasion of the 100th pig published in the Enquirer's Pig Parade, Enquirer photographer Ernest Coleman demonstrates there is more than one way to shoot a pig.
