Tips for beating the traffic

  Public transportation:

TANK will provide Park & Ride bus service to Saturday's Bengals and Reds games, and Metro will provide Park & Ride service for the Bengals game and the Black Family Reunion on Saturday and Sunday.

  For the Bengals:

• Metro buses depart between 70-90 minutes before game time, depending upon location. Cost is $5 round trip or 10-game passports are available for $50. Metro buses leave the stadium 15-20 minutes after the game.

  • Locations: Brentwood Kroger; Forest Park Park & Ride; Hilltop Plaza; Radisson Hotel; Western Hills Plaza; White Oak Shopping Center; Anderson Township Park & Ride; Holiday Inn I-275 North; Montgomery Square; City of Silverton Municipal Lot; Fields Ertel Park & Ride.

  • TANK buses leave between 70-90 minutes before game time, depending upon location. Cost is $3 for adults and $1 for children under 17 each way. TANK buses leave the stadium 30 minutes after the game.

  • TANK Bengals Game Day Run locations are: Turfway Park & Ride (next to Commonwealth Hilton); Drawbridge Inn, Fort Mitchell; Buttermilk Park & Ride; Holiday Inn South, Fort Mitchell; Ramada Inn, Fort Wright.

  For Black Family Reunion:

  • Metro buses depart Swifton Commons approximately every 20 minutes beginning at 12:20 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The last return trip will depart Sawyer Point at 9:20 p.m. Fare is $3 round trip or $1.50 one-way, and exact change is required.

For the Reds:

  • TANK Cinergy Field Express buses leave 45-65 minutes before game time, depending upon location. Cost is $3 for adults and $1 for children under 17 each way. TANK buses leave the stadium 30 minutes after the game.

  • TANK Cinergy Field Express locations are: Drawbridge Inn, Fort Mitchell; Buttermilk Park & Ride; Holiday Inn South, Fort Mitchell; Ramada Inn, Fort Wright.

        • Metro's normal Reds Express service will not run on Saturday or Sunday.

Driving downtown:

  • Experts say to add at least an hour to normal travel time. It will be slow going throughout downtown and parking will be limited.

  • Dial 211 for the ARTIMIS information line before leaving or log on to Cincinnati.com/traffic to find out conditions along the major highways.

Walking downtown:

  • Pedestrian access to Cinergy Field is limited to the skyways spanning Fort Washington Way.

  • Pedestrian access to Second Street and Paul Brown Stadium from downtown is limited to the Elm and Race street bridges. Fans can still get to the stadium from Pete Rose Way and Mehring Way via stairs up to the concourse.

Parking downtown:

  • Unless you have a season ticket for the Bengals or Reds, officials say don't try to park along the riverfront. About 7,000 people requested parking passes for the Bengals spots alone.

That leaves numerous parking garages and lots downtown, as officials don't recommend using street spaces since tickets will be issued for expired meters.

  • Estimated number of parking spaces downtown — including lots, garages and meters — in the area bordered by Central Parkway to the north, the Ohio River to the south, Eggleston Avenue to the east and Central Avenue to thw west: 30,000
