West Hi loses baseball coach

Chuck Querner, baseball coach at Western Hills High, has resigned and accepted an assistant position under Tom Chambers at Cincinnati State.

“This was a step up and gives me a chance to coach with Tom, who was my coach years ago when I played for Wilson Freight,” Querner, who also coached at Taft, Aiken and McNicholas, said.

Mike Maundrell will also join the Cincinnati State staff as a pitching coach.
