What's the Buzz?
Pantene promo offers samples
To promote the relaunch next month of its best-selling Pantene shampoo line, Procter & Gamble has invited consumers to get profiled at its new Web site (getprofiled.com).
The Web site is intended to educate consumers about their specific hair-care needs and inform visitors to the site about the new Pantene products formulated to address those needs.
By answering a few questions about their hair, visitors to the Web site can also get free samples of new Pantene products.
The new products, to reach store shelves by mid-September, will come in a new package design and fall under one of five categories voluminizing, smoothing, curls, color care and basic care.
P&G promoted the Web site by sending out 15 million pamphlets with Sunday newspapers distributed nationwide.
The temporary Web site, which will be up only until late September, is part of the Cincinnati-based packaged-goods giant's continuing effort to change the way consumers view hair care.
People without access to the Pantene site can call (888) 776-8345.
