Promotions & new on the job

        • Josh DeWitt has joined E@symail Interactive Inc., an international e-mail marketing firm based in Cincinnati, as director of sales and marketing. Mr. DeWitt comes from Johnson and Johnson's Ethicon Endo-Surgery Division. He has a bachelor's degree from Indiana University and a master's degree from Eastern Kentucky University.

        • Mary H. Reilly has joined Deskey Associates Inc. as senior designer.

        • The following have joined Sibcy Cline Realtors as specialized real estate sales associates: Holly Stephens, Fort Mitchell office; Paul F. Rochon, Kenwood; and Kim Hughes, Milford.

        • Dr. Marc T. Galloway has joined Cincinnati Sports- medicine and Orthopaedic Center. Dr. Galloway is a nationally recognized, board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, knee and shoulder problems. Before returning to Cincinnati Sportsmedicine and Orthopaedic Center, Dr. Galloway was the chief of orthopedics at Yale University's varsity teams and was an orthopedic consultant for New Haven's professional hockey and baseball teams. He is the team orthopedic physician at Princeton High School.

        • Charlene Pfingstag has joined Ramey Homes as vice president of sales.

        • Tina Goertemoeller has joined Robert F. Uhrig Co. as staff accountant.

        • Stephen S. Wentsler has joined Dinsmore & Shohl LLP as an associate attorney in the Cincinnati office. Mr. Wentsler is focusing his practice on intellectual property, including the preparation and prosecution of mechanical, electromechanical and biomedical patents. He worked for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in Arlington, Va., as a patent examiner. He graduated from Syracuse University College of Law.

        • Mark Begley has joined G.J. Thelen & Associates Inc., geotechnical testing consultants, engineering geologist.

        • Gary Sugerman has joined Hunkar Laboratories Inc. as regional manager for the eastern sales region.

        • JoAnne Collins has been named director of recruiting for Northwestern Mutual Financial Network/ The Beshear Financial Group. Ms. Collins will provide opportunities for entrepreneurs while developing strategic recruiting partnerships with other employers. She graduated from the University of Cincinnati.

        • Chris Nielsen has been named general manager of purchasing at Toyota Motor Manufacturing North America.

        • John Bough has joined DeanHouston Inc., full-service business-to-business advertising agency, as graphic designer.

        • Mark Folzenlogen, president of A-One Dry Cleaners, has been named president of the Ohio Cleaners Association.

        • Scott E. Noelcke has joined Bartlett & Co. as sales manager for the Cincinnati and Dayton markets.

        • Greg Gillott has joined Cincinnati Commercial Realtors as office specialist. Mr. Gillott will focus on sales, leasing and site selection of office properties in the Cincinnati market. He was operations manager for Gidding & Lewis, where he directed all aspects of manufacturing and engineering, materials management, purchasing and manufacturing. He graduated from Ohio State University.

        • The following have been named assistant vice presidents at Firstar: Moira Clark and Melody Dippold, corporate marketing department; David Braunstein, consumer lending; Whitney Bright, metro banking; William DuBois, finance, company collections; Jeffery Keys, consumer lending; James Riley, structured capital and Marcia Koenig, private banking.

        • Dave Palmer has been named sales and marketing manager for Moellering Industries, a supplier of kitchen and bath products. Mr. Palmer was previously an executive with several building-products firms. He has worked more than 20 years in management positions with Sears, Roebuck & Co. in Chicago. He will help direct the growth strategies of the company.

        • Marc Steiger has been named vice president at DLP Technologies Inc., Anderson Township.

        • Gerrie Lipson Sturman has been named manager of the Greater Cincinnati Convention & Visitors Bureau, Eastern Regional sales office.

        • Mark Sudbrack has joined dbaDIRECT as regional sales manager, provider of database management services.

        • Todd Kniola has been named consulting manager at ONEX Inc., Cincinnati office, an e-business, consulting and professional search firm. Mr. Kniola joined the company in January as a consultant. He has more than five years of experience in e-commerce, Internet strategy and technical site implementation. In addition, he has worked with many dot-com start-up companies as project manager and technical lead. He graduated from Wright State University.

        • Susan Jones, Rick Miller and Don Perkins have been named executive vice presidents at Northlich.

Amy Mulcahey-King has been named operations manager at Tomson Steel Co., and Chris Curtis has been named sales manager.

        • Richard Brown has joined The Cincinnatian Hotel as maitre d' for The Palace Restaurant. Mr. Brown has been with Maisonette for 15 years. He worked at Buster T. Brown's, Zino's Firehouse and Stouffer's Hotel in the 1970s, and at Les Palmiers at Union Terminal, Chateau Pomije and Pigall's French Restaurant in the early 1980s.

        • Helen Neese has joined Digineer Inc., an Internet professional services company specializing in the Internet health-care market, as senior consultant in Digineer's eConsulting Group. Ms. Neese has more than 20 years of consulting and industry experience. Before joining Digineer, she was vice president of corporate services for PhyCor Inc. She earned her master's and bachelor's degrees from the University of Missouri.

        • Bret Witte has been named senior accountant at Barnes Dennig & Co. Ltd.

        • R. Andrew Rosselot has joined Diversified Investment Advisors as vice president of sales in the Cincinnati regional office.

        • Eric Ott has been named assistant vice president at Fifth Third Bank, and Kevin Ruth assistant cashier.

        • Todd Easterling has been named vice president of marketing for Know Today Inc., developer and marketer of technology that enables Internet portals to create and host their own information and research marketplaces. Mr. Easterling will oversee marketing, public relations and promotions and assist in forming long-term strategic alliances with global partners. He has worked in the broadband cable, satellite, Internet and wireless markets.

               • As part of its annual Civic Beautification Awards Program, the Civic Garden Center has given a first-place award to Drake Center for its landscaping and courtyard design by Vivian Llambi & Asso ciates Inc., Cincinnati.

        • The University of Cincinnati's Goering Center has named Viox Services Inc. as its first recipient of the Tri-State Family Business Award in the category of Innovation.

        • The Northern Kentucky Convention and Visitors Bureau won two prestigious Idea Fair Awards at the International Association of Convention and Visitors Bureau Annual Convention held in Minneapolis.

        • Boyd L. Clarke, chief executive officer of Tom Peters Co., received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from The Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University.

        • Jack Grady, director of building and grounds for Lakota Schools has attained the designation “Certified Facility Manager,” by the International Facility Management Association.

        • Curt Paddock, president of Trajectory Consultants of Cincinnati, has been awarded the professional designation of Certified Economic Developer from the American Economic Development Council.

        • Metro has received the Certificate of Improvement in recognition of improved motor bus safety for 1999 from the American Public Transportation Association.

        • Laine and Lane Marketing Communications have been honored with seven awards in two local communications competitions — four awards in the 2000 International Association of Business Communicators Bronze Quill competition, and three awards from The Cincinnati Editors Association.

Expansions/new businesses

               • Bunnell Hill Construction and Voelker Controls, a manufacturer and distributor of fluid automation systems, have broken ground for a new office and warehouse facility on 5 acres in Heritage Business Park at 3000 Commerce Center Drive.
