Daughter, 17, finds parents dead; murder-suicide suspected

SALEM TOWNSHIP — Their 17-year-old daughter found her parents dead Tuesday evening, the victims of an apparent murder-suicide.
Gary Michael West, 56, and Rose Marie Moore, 42, were found in the kitchen of Mr. West's residence in the 7000 block of Ludlum Road, said Warren County Sheriff Tom Ariss. The couple, who had a 22-year common-law relationship, had both been shot.
Sheriff Ariss said he did know who shot whom, but he said it appears it was a murder-suicide.
He said the Warren County communications center received a 911 call at 7:04 p.m. from the couple's daughter, who said her parents were lying on the kitchen floor covered in blood.
He wasn't sure how long they had been dead.
The sheriff said that there was apparently no history of domestic violence involving the couple but that they were not living together at the time of their death. Ms. Moore was living in an apartment complex in Lebanon.
The sheriff was not aware of a motive in the shootings.
