Brown gets starting nod for Rebels
Sophomore tailback will take place of injured King

Boone County sophomore tailback James Brown will replace senior Timmy King in the Boone County High backfield for Friday's game against Conner.
King is out at least four weeks with a knee injury sustained in last Friday's game with LaSalle.
Boone County coach Rick Thompson said doctors told him that King has a tear in the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. The complete results of Monday's MRI are expected today.
“They're not going to do surgery,” Thompson said. “The doctors are going to put him on a rehab program. We'll go from there.”
At 5-foot-10 and 200 pounds, Brown is one of the biggest running backs the Rebels have.
“He's got size, he's got some strength,” Thompson said. “He may not have Timmy's breakaway speed, but he getting there. He's young.”
King suffered the injury on the last play of the first quarter.
“He got twisted in two different directions,” Thompson said. “The guy on the bottom was twisting to the right, and the rest were twisting to the left. It's part of football; guys get hurt.”
King ran 72 times for 465 yards and six touchdowns this season.
SOCCER: For the fourth consecutive season, the score of the Moeller-Covington Catholic game ended 1-0. A goal by Nathan McCall, assisted by Kent Walker, gave Moeller the victory.
