This is 142nd in a series spotlighting pigs from the Big Pig Gig Public Art Project taking place in Cincinnati, Covington and Newport. Find past pig profiles and event details at

There is only one lifeguard on duty on the Ohio River, but she's a star. In fact she went to a beauty spa last week, the Pig Spa, to touch up some scrapes and scratches she's gotten in her adventures.

Artist: Kathy Sabato, Miami Township. Ms. Sabato is the creator of two other pigs: Sow Spring, at Sawyer Point; Sow von Carpenter, on Fountain Square. Deb Thompson assisted on Porkala Piglee.

Sponsor: Joanie and Lou Lauch for Kentucky Building Maintenance Inc.

This pig's pen: Riverboat Row, Newport.

You were inspired by: My design was a pig in a yellow polka dot bikini. My sponsor got the idea for the Baywatch pig. I thought it was a great idea.

What's the pig idea? It's Pamela Anderson Lee. All you see when you look at her face is thick eye makeup and big nostrils. I know Pamela Lee has a tattoo, but I don't know what it looks like, so I just put a rose tattoo on her arm.

You want people to look at this pig and think: A lot of people hear the name of my pig and love it, but a lot of people who live on the north side of the river don't know about all the pigs in Kentucky.

Completing the project took: About 15 days. This was my third pigand it took the fewest modifications, just enough to give her the right physique.

What's the matter?: The usual sign painter's enamel, fiberglass, foam and Bondo.

Your high on the hog was: Getting the third pig done.

        Pig peeve: Sanding the modifications.

Best pig tale: The sponsors are big UC fans and they wanted a UC symbol on the bathing suit. Trade marks aren't allowed so I couldn't do it, but if they decide to keep the pig after the Big Pig Gig is over, I'll probably have to paint one on.

My favorite pork dish: Bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwiches.

If your pig starred in a movie, who would you cast to play the role? Who else?
