Russian Rocket hits Gardens ice Friday

Pavel Bure, the “Russian Rocket,” is scheduled to play Friday night at Cincinnati Gardens, Columbus Blue Jackets General Manager Doug MacLean said Tuesday during a Cincinnati radio interview.

MacLeon said Florida Panthers GM Bryan Murray told him Bure, Igor Larionov and Rob Niedermayer will play as a forward line in Friday's NHL preseason game (7:35 p.m.) against the expansion Blue Jackets at the Gardens.

Also expected to be in the lineups are former Miami University teammates Kevyn Adams for Columbus and Dan Boyle for Florida.
