Tonight's key games in Cincinnati
GCL showdown could determine playoffs

The winning coach of tonight's Greater Catholic League football game between Purcell Marian and McNicholas (at Anderson) can circle Nov.3, the first Friday of the playoffs, on his calendar. He'll probably be playing then.
This is by far the biggest game of the season for us, McNicholas coach John Rodenberg said. If we win, it won't secure a (Division II) playoff spot, but we would probably need only one more win to make it.
Both teams are 4-1 at the midpoint of the season, with McNicholas losing to Roger Bacon and Purcell Marian losing to Chaminade-Julienne.
Undefeated Lebanon plays host to Loveland tonight in a battle for first place in the Fort Ancient Valley Conference Cardinal Division. Both teams are 2-0 in league play. Lebanon is No.4 in the Division I Harbin computer rankings.
On paper, Moeller appears to be in for an easy night against St.Xavier in a GCL-South game at Galbreath Field. But the Bombers dominated Moeller in two meetings last season.
Princeton, Colerain and Fairfield, tied for first place in the Greater Miami Conferance, have road games against opponents capable of pulling the upset.
Princeton (4-1) plays at Lakota West (3-2), Colerain (5-0) plays Middletown (1-4), and Fairfield (4-1) is at Milford (2-3).
