Football rankings shuffled

The Cincinnati Enquirer

The rash of upsets on Friday led to some drastic changes in The Cincinnati Enquirer's Division I and II-VI football polls.

Although the top four spots in Division I remained unchanged, Western Hills moved from No.10 to No.7 and Lakota West tied St. Xavier for the No.5 position.

Anderson's loss to unranked Glen Este dropped the Redskins from No.5 to No.8 in Division I and enabled the Trojans to take over at No.6 in Division II-VI.

Although Lebanon remains undefeated, the Warriors dropped out of the Division I rankings and were replaced by No.10 Harrison, now 5-1 after a 34-14 victory over Turpin.

Edgewood regained the No.1 ranking in the Division II-VI poll as the result of previously top-ranked Indian Hill's loss to Finneytown. McNicholas moved from No.6 to No.2 after a 21-0 victory over then-No.5 Purcell Marian, which fell to No.8 this week.

Highlands and Beechwood remained in the No.1 and No.2 spots in Northern Kentucky, followed by Ryle, Boone County and Bellevue.
