Dixie, Notre Dame play for 10th title
Villa Madonna, Ludlow beaten in district semis

Dixie Heights and Notre Dame will meet for the 10th District volleyball championship on Thursday as a result of Tuesday's semifinal action.
Kim Yelton had 31 assists and Julie Farley 23 kills, catapulting Dixie Heights (21-8) over Villa Madonna, 15-2, 10-15, 15-12.
The defending 10th District champion, Notre Dame (22-4) had little trouble downing Ludlow, 15-1 15-0. This will be the first meeting of the season between the volleyball powers.
BOYS SOCCER: Holy Cross wrapped up the NKAC Class A conference title with a 2-1 shootout victory over Newport Central Catholic.
The league title was the first for a Holy Cross team that went 9-11 last year. Matty Estenfelder scored what proved to be the winning goal in the shootout.
Boone County, unbeaten in the last nine games, posted a 3-0 victory over Holmes with senior striker Brandon Post scoring two goals and goalie David Jones his eighth shutout.
In Ohio:
Ross clinched the Fort Ancient Valley Cardinal Division boys soccer championship with a 9-0 victory over Norwood.
Tiago Carloni and Anthony Hinson scored two goals each, enabling the Rams to remain undefeated (14-0-1), with one game remaining. Ross is at Harrison Saturday.
The nine-goal outburst gave the Rams 76 for the season, breaking the single-season school set five years ago.
Indian Hill and Madeira finished in a tie for the championship of the Cincinnati Hills League.
VOLLEYBALL: A 15-5, 15-6 victory over West Carrollton gave Talawanda its first Mid-Miami League title under second-year coach Bill Zehler.
North Adams clinched the Southern Hills League championship for the third consecutive season with a 15-11, 15-3 victory over Western Latham.
