This year's Tyler's Run will be held Saturday at Miami Whitewater Park in Harrison. The 5K run is expected draw more than 500 participants, said Amy Zimmerman, publicity chairwoman and a friend of the Frey family.
This year's goal is to raise $30,000. The run/walk has raised about $57,000 over the years for SIDS research and awareness.
The funds go directly to the local SIDS Alliance of Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, Ms. Zimmerman said. All fund-raising money has to stay local.
Some of the money from last year's event went toward a local education campaign. SIDS education packets were mailed to more than 400 community and family organizations, day care centers and physicians.
