'Clones fall 4-3 in shootout OT

For the Cincinnati Enquirer

Cyclones fans got a treat Tuesday night as the new International Hockey League's return of overtime came to Firstar Center. But the Orlando Solar Bears defeated Cincinnati 4-3 in a shootout.

Two of the Solar Bears' three shooters scored in the shootout; none of the Cyclones did.

The Cyclones (1-3-2) twice rallied from two-goal deficits to tie the score, the last time on Jeff Heerema's second goal of the night and fifth of the season early in the third period.

Earlier, Erik Cole scored the first shorthanded goal of the season for the Cyclones to cut Orlando's lead to 3-2.
