Harrison stops Western Brown

        Cathy Santillo, Erin Walton and Sarah Hoerst scored first-half goals to lead Harrison to a 4-1 victory over Western Brown in a Division I girls soccer sectional at Harrison. The Wildcats slowed down the front-field trio of Amber Silvis, Ashley Silvis and Ashley Wesley.

        “They have a lot of speed up front with the Silvis sisters and Wesley. They combined for 107 regular-season goals,” Harrison coach Troy Kinnett said.

        Amber Silvis scored the lone Western Brown goal on a free kick in the first half, raising her city-leading season total to 56 goals.

        • Walnut Hills 2, Talawanda 1 (2 OT), Division I at Walnut Hills — Robin Burlew scored two goals, the game winner with 19 seconds remaining in the second overtime. Walnut Hills meets defending state champion Lakota West Thursday at Lakota West.

        • Norwood 1, Winton Woods 0, Division I sectional at Norwood — Junior Dawn McCarthy scored a breakaway goal with 15 minutes remaining in the first half. Michelle Burns and Jessica Evans combined for the shutout.

        • Princeton 5, Hamilton 0, Division I sectional at Princeton — The Vikings scored four goals in the final 10 minutes with the Heaney sisters, Angela and Jennifer, combining for three. Princeton plays Loveland Thursday.

        • Ursuline 3, Mason 0, Division I sectional — Lauren Garlick scored two goals, and Jackie Obert recorded her sixth shutout.

        • Turpin 4, Milford 0, Division I sectional at Forest Hills Soccer Stadium — Emily Cavender scored the first of four Spartans goals during a 23-minute span. The Spartans play No.5 seed Lakota East Thursday at Hopewell Elementary.

        • Amelia 3, Colerain 0, Division I sectional at Colerain — Jesse Crawford had two assists and one goal. Susan Rittenger stopped 13 shots.

        • Wilmington 4, Mount Healthy 0, Division I sectional at Wilmington — Emma Godfrey scored a goal and assisted on another by Heather Drake, leading the Hurricanes. Wilmington meets Mercy at Oak Hills Thursday.

Boys soccer

        • Finneytown 3, Cincinnati Christian 1, Division III at Finneytown — Rick Moses scored two goals and Jake Laine had two assists in a Division III sectional game at Finneytown. Finneytown next plays at Mariemont.

        • St. Bernard 1, Clark Montessori 0, Division III sectional at St. Bernard — Drew Stat headed in a throw-in from Josh Mason in overtime for the Titans, who meet Seven Hills Saturday.
