Cyclones 5, Milwaukee 4

Cyclones battle back from 3-goal deficit

MILWAUKEE, Wis. — The Cincinnati Cyclones overcame a three-goal deficit to defeat the Milwaukee Admirals 5-4 Friday night at the Bradley Center.

The Admirals scored three unanswered goals in the first period from Jeremy Stevenson, Dan Riva and Denis Arkhipov in a span of 61/2 minutes.

“When you put 10 shots on goal in the first six minutes of the game,” said general manager/head coach Ron Smith, “it means you are moving the puck and getting chances. But Milwaukee did one better — they found the net.”

Goals by Brian Felsner, Stefan Ustorf and Cyclones player/assistant coach Gilbert Dionne paced Cincinnati's comeback.

Felsner's second goal of the night with just over one minute remaining put Cincinnati up for the first and final time, 5-4.

Jean-Marc Pelletier made his 2000-2001 debut picking up the win in net stopping 28 Milwaukee shots.

These two teams meet again at 7:30 tonight at Firstar Center.
