Thomas More 17, Defiance 7
DEFIANCE, Ohio Will Castleberry carried 45 times for 294 yards and sealed the outcome with a long fourth-quarter touchdown as Thomas More beat Defiance 17-7 on Saturday.
Castleberry's 61-yard run early in the final quarter completed the scoring and gave the Saints (8-1) some breathing room.
Thomas More grabbed a 10-0 halftime lead on Joe Sacco's 2-yard touchdown pass from Jesse Lowery and Jeff Runion's 47-yard field goal.
Defiance (6-2) cut the lead to three points in the third quarter on Walker Graher's 20-yard scoring pass to Matt Gerig.
