Pig auction details
By Owen Findsen
The Cincinnati Enquirer
More than 200 pigs from the Big Pig Gig will be auctioned in November, on the Internet Wednesday - Nov. 11 and live at Music Hall Nov. 13.
On the ebay.com auction, 140 pigs will be sold in four lots. Lot 1 runs Wednesday-Nov. 8, Lot 2 from Thursday-Nov. 9, Lot 3 Friday-Nov. 10, and Lot 4 Saturday- Nov. 11.
Go to eBay.com where there are buttons that lead to information on New to eBay, and How do I bid? New bidders must register on this page. The Browse by Region scroll takes you to Cincinnati where, starting Wednesday, the pigs will be listed.
Each pig can be watched, by current price, number of bids and time left before bidding ends. Bidding may close without a pig reaching the minimum bid.
A preview of the pigs to be auctioned at Music Hall will be 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Nov. 13. The preauction reception will be 5:30-6:30 p.m. The auction, plus entertainment, will be 6:30-10 p.m.
Tickets to the live auction are $15, $30, $60 and $100. Bidders are asked to purchase at least the $30 tickets and register to bid before the auction. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster, 241-7469.
