DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP — Leaders here have chosen a Cincinnati planning consultant to oversee zoning and planning in one of Warren County's fastest-growing communities.

        Township trustees recently hired Timothy Hershner as the township's director of zoning and planning. Mr. Hershner is president of Hershner and Associates, a Cincinnati firm that manages redevelopment projects, comprehensive site plans, engineering, surveying and architectural projects and zoning change applications.

        His salary will be about $50,000 a year.

        “We are extremely pleased to welcome Tim to Deerfield Township. He brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the position that will benefit the township as we continue on a course of solid growth and progress,” said Trustee Larry Backus.

        Mr. Hershner is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning. He is a charter member of the Ohio Development Association and a member of the American Planning Association.
