Multiple crashes under investigation

By Janice Morse
The Cincinnati Enquirer

Butler County police agencies were investigating a rash of crashes, including two separate multiple-vehicle pileups on southbound Interstate 75 during Friday's foggy morning.

The I-75 wrecks tied up traffic for hours, the Hamilton Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol reported.

About 6 a.m., a three-car pileup south of Cincinnati-Dayton Road sent one person to a hospital. About 7:40 a.m., a six-vehicle wreck occurred near the Butler Regional Highway. No one required an ambulance, a dispatcher said.

Meanwhile, two separate crashes that injured three people Thursday night in Butler County remained under investigation.

Just before midnight, a pedestrian was critically injured after being struck at University Boulevard and Central Avenue in Middletown.

Glenn Gensheimer, 75, of Middletown, was taken to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. Also Thursday about 7 p.m., two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash at at Ohio 73 and Jacksonburg Road.

Terrence Hogan, 44, of Hamilton, was in critical condition at University. The 16-year-old Hamilton boy was taken to Fort Hamilton Hospital.-
