Reading 41, Columbus Academy 20




        It took Reading a total of five plays to take a 14-0 lead on scoring plays by DeShawn Wynn and Charlie Vample in the Division V playoffs.

        Wynn finished with 176 yards rushing and three touchdowns on 18 carries, and Vample added three receptions for 165 yards and two touchdowns.

        “We knew they were good offensively.” Reading coach Ken Minor said. “We just tried to outscore them and create a couple turnovers.”

        Reading amassed 457 yards of offense while Columbus Academy racked up 454, 411 on the ground.

        The win was Reading's first ever in the playoffs.
