What's happening in area bookstores
Wish You Well by David Baldacci (Warner; $24.95). Mr. Baldacci, best known for his legal thrillers, has hit best-seller lists with this heartwarming novel set during the 1940s. The lives of two New York City children change dramatically after an auto accident leaves their father dead and their mother catatonic. All About Chicken, All About Pasta and Noodles, All About Soups and Stews, All About Vegetarian Cooking by Irma S. Rombauer, Marion Rombauer Becker and Ethan Becker (Scribner; $19.95 each). This new series of cookbooks has been spun off the hometown Joy Of Cooking franchise. The recipes, from Joy, now are accompanied by full-color and how-to photos.
