Southern Buckeye Conference: National Division

From fourth place to league champion is the task ahead for Georgetown, the overwhelming choice in the National Division.

However, two of the five coaches predicted Batavia would win but the Bulldogs finished behind Bethel-Tate in the preseason poll.

        1. Georgetown (3) 21

Bethany Cahall (7 points) and Amber Brown (5 points) will lead a Georgetown team that is loaded with experienced players but lacks size.

If the G-Men are to prevail, it will be the play of freshmen Carly DeClaire (6-0), and Ali Chadwell (5-10) on the inside that is the difference.

        2. Bethel-Tate 20

The Tigers lost all five starters to graduation but will field a strong team.

On the inside, Bethel-Tate will rely on Yancy Barker and Kelly Burton with guards Kristin Collins and Gina Canter is ready to take over on the outside.

        3. Batavia (2) 15

Co-champions last season, the Bulldogs return starters Katie Swart (8 points, 8 rebounds) and Mandy Crooker (8 points, 7 assists), along with three other experienced seniors.

        4. Felicity 11

No information was provided by the school.

        5. Williamsburg 6

No information was provided by the school.
