Promotions and new on the job
Dan Hoemke has been named regional vice president of middle market sales for UnitedHealthcare, central region. Mr. Hoemke will be responsible for business development, account management, service of existing business and sales operations, and broker and consultant relations. He has more than 20 years of experience in health care and consulting. He was senior vice president and chief marketing officer of Cole Managed Vision.

Jeffrey D. Brasie has been appointed president of Clovernook Center for the Blind. Mr. Brasie has more than 15 years in senior management experience with nonprofit and proprietary organizations. He was president/chief executive officer of Volunteers of America of Central Ohio. He also served as chief executive officer for Recreation Unlimited, a national challenge center for people with disabilities.
Scot Trefzger has joined Architectural/Engineering Specialties Inc., an architectural product consultant company.
Tammy R. Geiger has joined Dinsmore & Shohl LLP as an associate lawyer.
John Rodgers has been named partner at Ernst & Young. Mr. Rodgers is involved in Ernst & Young's professional development team and is a participant in the firm's internal and peer-review quality-control programs. He received his bachelor's degree in accounting from Bellarmine College in Louisville.
Eric Muench has been named vice president at Fifth Third Bank and Marlin S. Morris, assistant vice president.
Mary Ellen Starling has been named vice president, media services, at Backley & Gingrich Advertising Inc. Ms. Starling has been with the company for the past seven years. She was director of media services. She has more than 19 years of experience in media planning and research.
Dina Gibson has joined Huff Realty as sales associate, Union; and Robert Ferdon has joined the Montgomery office as sales associate.
Brian K. Rose has been named chief mechanical engineer at Hixson. Mr. Rose succeeds Jerry Becher, who remains with Hixson as senior mechanical engineer. Mr. Rose is a graduate of Ohio Northern University. He joined the company in 1998 and has designed mechanical, HVAC and automatic temperature-control systems for food-processing, manufacturing, laboratory, hospital and office facilities.

He was director of Internet services at Schaeffer's Investment Research. He graduated from Cornell University in 1990.
Art Hammond, a banking center manager at Fifth Third Bank of Northern Kentucky, has been appointed to the board of directors at New Perceptions Inc.
Stephanie Scott-Johnson has joined the FreeStore/
FoodBank as human resources director. Mrs. Scott-Johnson has a bachelor's degree in personnel and industrial relations from the University of Cincinnati. She has more than nine years of experience in human resources. She has spent more than 18 years with the Hamilton County Juvenile Court and its subsidiary, Hillcrest Training School. She has also practiced as a private consultant, providing human-resources services to area organizations.
Debbie Kelly has joined Comey & Shepherd Realtors as sales vice president and associate specializing in residential properties.
Aleshia Zoogah has been named associate project manager at Global Lead, a full-service management consulting firm. Ms. Zoogah will focus on project coordination and support, planning and customer service. She joined the company in 1989 as an administrative assistant and was later promoted to special assistant to the managing partner.
LaTonia Denise Wright has joined Patient's Personal Choice as a health care risk-management consultant. Ms. Wright, a practicing registered nurse and licensed lawyer, will be responsible for developing and presenting clinical risk management in-services, patient safety programs, and professional sexual-misconduct prevention training to health-care organizations and professionals.
Carol A. Campbell has been appointed director of nursing at Tri-County Extended Care in Fairfield.

Ms. Lieberman will represent Ohio at the Region IV Conference, which will be held March 22-25 in Cleveland.
