Cincinnati girls basketball games


Princeton fends off Seton

        Princeton held off Seton for a 72-70 win Saturday night, but just barely.

        Princeton had a 10-point lead with 30 seconds to go. Seton made three consecutive 3-pointers to to make it 71-70 with eight seconds left, but could get no closer.

        Julie Robbins had a game-high 30 points for Seton. Danielle Duncan led three Princeton players in double figures with 18 points.

        Landmark 50, Calvary Christian 47, at Calvary — Freshman Amy Sebastian sank a free throw and Ashley Oliver scored a field goal in the final 30 seconds to lift the Eagles.

        The victory was Landmark's third consecutive and first ever over Calvary Christian dating back at least 15 years.

        “We're a team that could decide this league (Miami Valley Conference),” Landmark coach Jeff Lakes said. “We will be competitive with any team this season.”

        Sebastian led Landmark with 15 points.

        Harrison 58, Northwest 51, at Harrison — Northwest cut a 15-point third-quarter deficit to two with five minutes left, but Liz Ransick scored seven points and April Lux blocked three shots to seal the win.

        Lux led Harrison with 21 points and 11 rebounds.

        Ransick also recorded a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds.

        Northwest's Bobbi Meister tied Lux for game-high scoring honors.
