Colleagues talk about the Frachers
In the Fracher world of she said/he said, here's what some of the people they work with have to say:
Isn't it wonderful that two people who love each other love Cincinnati enough to be here? Ensemble's D. Lynn Meyers says.
Sherman did three shows with us last year and two more this year, Drew will be directing later this season any chance we have for them to be a part of this team, I take it.
They're always the first to give 110 percent, they have enormous grace and they approach their work with a lot of joy, which is a wonderful example for the younger performers. And they're cute and skinny.
Energy, Playhouse in the Park's Ed Stern says. When you see Sherman on stage, she lights up with it. It's captivating. As for Drew, I get tired just standing next to him.
Together they're a terrific positive energy force. It's always positive energy onstage and off.
The Frachers, Cincinnati Shakespeare's Jasson Minadakis says, are a perfect example of why more and more artists are going to feel comfortable living here and working here. They've made it work.
They could be rushing off to Chicago, but they're not trying to make careers somewhere else. They're making their careers here, and that's the hardest thing in the world to do.
Like Dale (Hodges), they move from theater to theater, bringing together a lot of people who wouldn't have been together otherwise. And as they get in front of different audiences, people are getting to love their work in a lot of different contexts.
They're two of my favorite people in Cincinnati theater.
