UC, Miami women honored




        UC freshman guard Valerie King was named C-USA Player of the Week after leading the Bearcats to three straight wins, over Xavier, Radford and UNC Wilmington. King averaged 16.6 points per game and was 11-for-11 for the free-throw line.

        Miami freshman forward/center Kim Lancaster (Princeton) was named Mid-American Conference East Division Player of the Week following her 23-point, eight-rebound, five-steal performance against Saint Francis.
