IRONTON, Ky. — River Valley Health System trustees voted unanimously Wednesday to terminate the contract of its president and chief executive officer, Terry Vanderhoof.

        The board of trustees also appointed Dr. John D. Ross, pharmacy director at the hospital for the past 17 years, as the interim CEO.

        Mr. Vanderhoof had been River Valley CEO for about 12 years, said hospital spokeswoman Sue Massie.
