Last minute

Salute to Robards: American Movie Classics salutes Jason Robards today with clips from his last TV interview and two movies.

Parts of the interview, which aired Dec. 10 on Behind the Screen, will air at 8 p.m. before All The President's Men. More clips will air before St. Valentine's Day Massacre at 10:30 p.m.

Mr. Robards died Dec. 26 at age 78. He won Oscars for his performances in All The President's Men and Julia.

Just FYI

The show must go on: Nothing will stop John Michael Montgomery from making his latest video — not even a broken leg.

The country singer was hunting on his property near Lexington on Friday when he slipped and fell through some ice.

He's resting at home in Nicholasville, Ky., nursing a compound fracture to his right leg. But he still plans to shoot the video for his new single, “That's What I Like About You,” later this month.

Movie buzz

Highest paid: Jennifer Lopez is the highest paid Hispanic woman in film history, according to Allure magazine.

The January issue reports that Ms. Lopez, 30, achieved that status by receiving $9 million for her role in the romantic comedy The Wedding Planner. She plays a busy bridal consultant in the film, which co-stars Matthew McConaughey and is due in theaters Jan. 26.

New role: You Can Count on Me star Mark Ruffalo will play a major part in in Robert Redford's The Castle for DreamWorks SKG.

The Castle, directed by Rod Lurie and written by David Scarpa, is about a court-martialed three-star general, played by Mr. Redford, who is sentenced to a maximum security prison where he recruits other prisoners to join his own private army to take down a corrupt warden. Production begins March 19 in Nashville.

Mr. Ruffalo was given the New Generation Award last month by the Los Angeles Film Critics Association for his role in You Can Count on Me. He is finishing work on Bruno Barreto's A View From the Top with Gwyneth Paltrow.
