Westwood to lead N.Ky. caucus

FRANKFORT Sen. Jack Westwood, R-Erlanger, is the new chairman of the 13-member Northern Kentucky legislative caucus.
Rep. Tom McKee, D-Cynthiana, was elected vice chairman.
They replace former chairwoman Katie Stine, R-Fort Thomas, and Rep. Royce Adams, D-Dry Ridge, who was the vice chairman.
The lawmakers are selected by fellow Northern Kentucky legislators. Elections are held every two years, and a lawmaker cannot run for re-election.
Because the GOP holds a nine-to-four majority in the caucus, a Republican received the chairmanship.
The caucus meets during sessions of the General Assembly and holds regular meetings with constituents, business leaders and others about spending and other legislative issues.
