Cyclones 3, Detroit 2
7th straight win; 14th straight over Vipers
The Cincinnati Cyclones jumped to a 3-0 lead and survived a Detroit comeback to win 3-2 Tuesday at Firstar Center.
The Cyclones earned their 14th consecutive IHL victory over the Vipers.
Tonight they (the Vipers) played a lot harder than they did Saturday night in their building, said defenseman Len Esau, who paced the Cyclones with a pair of assists. Sticks were up all over the ice. I'm glad we hung on and got the win.
After going 9-11-2 in their first 22 games, the Cyclones have gone 15-2-1 in their last 18 games, a span that includes a current seven-game winning streak.
