        Insane Clown Posse: Herewith a parental advisory because they're some salty dudes, these two Detroit rappers who bring their lusty lyrics and over-the-top theatrics to town 8 p.m. today, Bogart's, 2621 Vine St., Corryville. $20-$22.50. 562-4949.

        Jazz concert: It's a hot time indeed when two of the city's top jazz musicians — trumpet master Brad Goode and pianist Phil Degreg — team up and heat up a Faculty Artist Series concert at UC College-Conservatory of Music. 8 p.m. today, Robert J. Werner Recital Hall. Free. 556-4183.

        Extended hours: The show's been there forever and still people come in droves. So much so that the Cincinnati Art Museum will stay open late during the last days of European Masterpieces, the exhibit of more than 88 paintings on loan from Australia's National Gallery of Victoria. 10 a.m.-8 p.m. today-Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, noon-6 p.m. Sunday. $12, $10 seniors and students. 721-2787.

        TV picks:In the first The West Wing of 2001, the White House staff literally has to put out a fire before a bipartisan friendship breakfast with congressional leaders (9 p.m., Channels 5, 22).

        • TV Critic John Kiesewetter says the UC-Marquette basketball game (8 p.m., Channel 19) will delay the local premiere of Fox's heavily promoted Temptation Island (11 p.m. today) and Grounded For Life (6:30 p.m. Sunday).

The Goods (What's in stores today)

        Disc picks: New Cincinnatian Peter Frampton celebrates the silver anniversary of his multiplatinum Frampton Comes Alive (UNI/A&M; $29.98 CDs only), a deluxe, two-CD package of the all-time best-selling live album (with some previously unreleased tracks).

        Blind Faith (UNI/A&M; $29.98 CDs only) is another two-CD reissue of a classic album with lots of additional jams.

        A jazz classic gets the remastering treatment, as Miles Davis' 1956 LP, Birth of the Cool (Blue Note; $15.98), is new again.

        The big rap release of the week is the soundtrack to HBO's prison series OZ (Avatar; $17.98 CD only), featuring new tracks from Wu-Tang Clan, Cypress Hill and Master P.

        Jazz organ pioneer Jimmy Smith has the new, all-star Dot Com Blues (Blue Thumb; $17.98 CD only).

Planning Ahead

        24 hours out: Underwater photographer David Doubilet glubs bubbles with a behind-the-scenes look at photographing the Great Barrier Reef off the coast of Australia. It's the first installment of the Live . . . from National Geographic lecture series, 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Procter & Gamble Hall, Aronoff Center for the Arts. $11.25-$23.75. 241-7469.

        48 hours out: Giuseppe Verdi, celebrating the 100th anniversary of his death, gets the royal treatment from Maestro Jesus Lopez-Cobos and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. It's a performance, no less, of his celebrated Requiem Mass with heavy hitters soprano Alessandra Marc, tenor John Villars and the May Festival Chorus. 8 p.m. Friday, Music Hall. $13-$52. 381-3300.
