Dawn

        Ronny Dawn scored a school-record 54 points, including 11 3-pointers, to help Newport Central Catholic to an 80-57 victory over Beechwood in the Touchstone Energy Ninth Region All “A” Classic at Dayton Wednesday night.

        With NewCath ahead by six points in the third quarter, Dawn was fouled while shooting. He was awarded two free throws plus two more after a Beechwood player was called for a technical foul.

        Dawn made three of the four shots and followed with a 3-pointer to break open the game.

        • Ludlow 65, Dayton 58, Ninth Region All “A” Classic at Dayton — Tyler Schlickman scored eight points in the fourth quarter and Adam Henry added six for the Panthers, who were tied 47-47 after three quarters.

        Henry finished with 17 points and Schlickman had 12. Jason Wiseman scored 21 for Dayton.

        Junior guard Luke Prince led all scorers with 18 points for Millersburg.
