NKU women 88, Bellarmine 79

Michelle Cottrell scored 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as Northern Kentucky defeated Bellarmine 88-79 Thursday night at Regents Hall in a battle of teams ranked in the NCAA Division II Top 25.
Bridget Flanagan added 16 points for No.5 NKU (13-1, 7-1 Great Lakes Valley Conference). No.19 Bellarmine (12-2, 7-1) had its nine-game winning streak snapped.
NKU built a 47-34 halftime lead with the help of eight 3-point shots. Cottrell (Boone County High) had 12 points in the first half.
NKU has won 20 consecutive home games dating to last season.
