Schappell scores 34; Loveland rolls

Junior guard Kevin Schappell scored 34 points Friday night as Loveland remained unbeaten in the Fort Ancient Valley Conference with a 72-56 victory over Goshen at Loveland.
Schappell, the fourth-leading scorer in the area, was coming off a 41-point effort in a victory over Anderson Tuesday. He's averaging 23.3 points a game following Friday's outing.
Loveland, ranked ninth in The Enquirer's Division I coaches poll, improved to 12-1 and 8-0 in the league.
Goshen senior forward Roger Drake scored 21 points. Loveland's transition offense wore out Goshen in the second half and allowed the Tigers to run up the score.

Lebanon 46, Little Miami 40 Ty Merchant scored 10 of his game-high 18 points and Jordan Langston scored nine of his 11 points in the fourth quarter to lead Lebanon to the come-from-behind victory.
The Warriors were trailing by five points going into the fourth quarter.

Mike Rieck and Ty Blair each made five of six from the line in the fourth quarter to preserve the victory.
Paul Volkerding led Harrison with 15 points.
