Mt. Healthy stuns Withrow

The Cincinnati Enquirer

        Mount Healthy went on a 17-3 run during the final four minutes to upset Withrow 65-59 in Queen City Conference action Friday at Mount Healthy.

        Trailing 56-48, Mount Healthy sank eight of nine free throws during the run in which Dion Short scored nine points and Robert Perkins scored six.

        “Maybe we turned the corner tonight as long as we back it up next week against Taft and Finneytown,” Mount Healthy coach Jim Pugh said.

        Withrow was ranked fifth in the Enquirer's Division I coaches poll.

        • Taft 60, Woodward 55 — The Taft defense limited Woodward to four fourth-quarter points.

        Norel Williams paced Taft with 15 points and Mike Price added 14. B.J. Walker led all scorers with 17 for Woodward.
