Brossart, NewCath get All 'A' wins

Bishop Brossart and Newport Central Catholic posted wins in the first round of the state All A Classic at Eastern Kentucky University Wednesday.
Katie Schwegmann scored 18 points as Brossart beat Crittenden County 72-31. NCC's Amy Meyers scored 21 points in a 57-45 victory over Whitesville Trinity.
NCC will meet Lexington Christian at 10:30 a.m. Friday. Brossart will play Jackson County, No.1 in Kentucky and No.12 in the USA Today Super 25, at 1:30 p.m.
