Chyna: If They Only Knew by Chyna and Michael Angeli (Regan Books; $26). Fellow World Wrestling Federation wrestlers Mankind and the Rock already hit best-seller lists with their autobiographies, so why not Chyna? Her tell-all arrives in stores today. It's a tale of growing up abused and lonely, and struggling to find the right occupation (and right breast-implant size). Lots of photos. Lots of juicy WWF gossip. Lots of copies in the first printing (300,000). Oh, and in case you were wondering, Chyna's real name is Joanie Laurer.
Darkness Before Dawn by Sharon M. Draper (Atheneum/Simon & Schuster; $16; ages 12 and up). The Cincinnati writer wraps up her award-winning Hazelwood High trilogy (Tears of a Tiger, Forged by Fire) with the story of Keisha, a senior reeling from the suicide of her ex-boyfriend. As in the previous books, Ms. Draper (a former Cincinnati high school teacher) confronts real-life issues head on. These are stark, gritty young adult novels, but they are full of hope in the form of strong friendships.
