Three indicted in ecstasy case
The Cincinnati Enquirer
LEBANON A grand jury indicted three men Monday on charges that they sold or offered to sell the stimulant ecstasy to undercover drug agents in connection with a New Year's Eve rave party at the Warren County Fairgrounds.
William Barney Mack, 19, of Pleasureville, Ky., and Christopher L. Link, 28, of Lexington, face felony charges of aggravated trafficking and aggravated possession of drugs.
The charges allege the men sold three capsules of ecstasy to an undercover agent with the Warren County Drug Task Force in the parking lot of the fairgrounds, and possessed 18 more capsules of the drug, Prosecutor Tim Oliver said.
Benjamin Lewis, 19, of Sidney, Ohio, was charged with aggravated trafficking in drugs and tampering with evidence. Authorities said he offered to sell two capsules of ecstasy to an undercover agent, then threw the drugs in the snow when he realized his customer was a police officer.
The drug is commonly associated with raves night-long techno dance parties.
