CCD beats CHCA to take first in MVC

        The Cincinnati Country Day boys basketball team avenged its only loss this season and took over first place in the Miami Valley Conference with a 44-39 win over Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy on Saturday.

        The game had been postponed Friday because of moisture on the floor.

        The key to this rematch was containing CHCA junior point guard Jay Morelock, who scored 21 points in the first matchup. He scored was held to 10 points Saturday.
        Austin Mitchell scored 11 points for CCD and Noah Allen and T.G. Seward each added 10.

        CCD improved to 13-1 in the CHL while CHCA fell to 12-1.
