Tristate earnings reports
Cintech Solutions Inc: The Cincinnati-based maker of call-center software reported lower sales and profits, but executives remain satisfied with the company's progress.
Cintech has been broadening its products, moving from voice-only call-center software to software that incorporates e-mail and Web-based media as well.
CEO Diane Kamionka said the voice-only product remains profitable and is helping finance expansion.
For the second quarter ended Dec. 31, sales fell by one-third to $2.1 million, and profits fell 89 percent to $90,062, or 1 cent per shares.
For the six months, sales fell 26 percent to $4.1 million, and profits fell 89 percent to $176,227.
Pomeroy Computer Resources Inc.: Shares of the Hebron computer sales and service company declined about 5 percent Monday after it reported lower-than-expected fourth-quarter earnings.
Pomeroy Computer shares closed Monday at $16.69, down 81 cents.
For the three months ended Jan. 5, Pomeroy said, net income declined 2.6 percent to $7.4 million, or 58 cents a share, from $7.6 million, or 64 cents a share, in the same period last year. The latest quarter included a charge of 7 cents a share for expenses related to the planned but not completed initial stock offering of the company's services subsidiary, Pomeroy Select Integration Solutions Inc.
Fourth-quarter revenues increased 17.6 percent to $245.7 million from $208.9 million in the same period last year.
For the year, Pomeroy's net income increased 18.5 percent to $29.5 million, or $2.38 a share, from $24.9 million, or $2.11 a share, in the prior year. Annual revenues increased 22 percent to $925.1 million.
Omnicare Inc.: The Covington-based pharmacy services provider, said Monday that fourth-quarter operating earnings rose to $18.1 million, or 20 cents a share, meeting Wall Street's expectations.
Revenues rose to $506.6 million from $487.6 million.
