Miami Valley Conference games
CHCA, CCD share title
Senior forward Thomas Seward had 16 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks to lead Cincinnati Country Day to a 62-45 victory over New Miami Friday night, clinching a share of the the Miami Valley Conference title for CCD.
Also Friday, Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy beat St. Bernard 56-38, earning the Eagles a share of the MVC title.
The Indians finished the regular season 19-1, which ties the school's best record, set by the 1992 state runner-up team. It was the seventh title in 16 seasons for coach Howard Brownstein, the first since 1994.
Senior guard Austin Mitchell scored 11 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Senior guard Myron Shelley paced New Miami with 12 points.
CCD went 8-of-9 from the foul line in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.

Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy 56, St. Bernard 38 Senior center Jon Taylor scored eight of his game-high 12 points in the first half as CHCA earned a tie with CCD for its first-ever MVC championship.
The Eagles finished the regular season with a best-ever 18-2 record. The previous best was 15-5 last season.
Taylor led a balanced Eagle scoring attack with 12 points. Nick McNay and Brian Hollmann each scored 11 points to lead the Titans.
The Eagles dressed and started team manager Ian McCullough. He scored in the fourth quarter. His teammates carried him off the floor after the game and gave him the game ball.

Senior forward Allen Walker scored 22 points and grabbed 16 rebounds for the Panthers.
