Withrow trips Taft

The Cincinnati Enquirer

        Will Jeffries and Pierre Darden combined to score 13 points in the second quarter to lead Withrow to a 58-45 victory over Taft in a Queen City Conference game Friday night.

        Chris Washington added 12 points for Withrow. Norell Williams had 12 for Taft.

        • Western Hills 91, Mount Healthy 61 — Darryl Peterson and Danny Horace each scored 18 points and Michael Hadnot added 16 for the Mustangs, ranked No.2 in The Enquirer's Division I coaches poll.

        Deon Short scored 20 points to lead the Owls.
