Defiance sweeps Mount St. Joseph
Frank Kill intercepted Mount St. Joseph's inbounds pass with 0.8 seconds left to seal Defiance's 85-81 win at MSJ's Harrington Center in the last regular-season game.
The Lions trailed 83-81 with 1.9 seconds remaining, when Kill stole the pass, was fouled and sank two free throws.
Jarett Young had 22 points for the Lions (13-11, 5-7 HCAC), who play at Hanover Tuesday in the HCAC Tournament.
The Mount St. Joseph women's team fell to Defiance 75-44 in the regular-season finale in Defiance, Ohio.
Virginia Grace (Colerain) had 14 points, eight rebounds and five blocks for the Lions (8-16, 3-9), who play at Franklin College Tuesday in the HCAC Tournament.
