Earnhardt Jr. will race Sunday
MOORESVILLE, N.C. Dale Earnhardt Jr., mourning the death of his father, will participate in this weekend's Dura-Lube 400 at Rockingham, N.C.
Daytona 500 winner Michael Waltrip and Steve Park, the other drivers for Dale Earnhardt Inc., also will race.
We'll get through this, Earnhardt Jr. said. I'm sure he'd want us to keep going, and that's what we're going to do.
NASCAR president Mike Helton said officials impounded Dale Earnhardt's No.3 car and were holding it in an undisclosed location to analyze the accident in Sunday's Daytona 500. He said no decision has been made whether to retire Earnhardt's famous black Chevrolet.
