OXFORD Miami didn't let Akron come close to spoiling Senior Day.
The RedHawks beat the Zips at Millett Hall, for Akron's worst loss ever and the second biggest margin of victory in Miami's history.
Miami jumped out to a 20-2 lead in the first six minutes.
MU closed the half with a 21-4 run in the final five minutes to gain a 53-16 halftime advantage.
MU's Kim Lancaster led all scorers with 21 points on 9-of-13 shooting and grabbed six boards. Colleen Day and Hollie Nelsen each pitched in 13 points and seven boards.
