NKU women 79, Quincy (Ill.) 63
HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. Michelle Cottrell scored 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds as Northern Kentucky won in Regents Hall.
NKU (23-3, 17-3 GLVC) used a 16-2 run to begin the second half to build a 51-35 lead.
Cottrell (Boone County) and Michele Tuchfarber (Mount Notre Dame) both scored 10 points in the second half to lead the Norse.
Julie Cowens added 12 points for NKU, and Heather Livingstone scored 11 points and had seven assists. NKU clinched a tie for first place in the GLVC with the win, and the Norse will play in the first round of the GLVC Tournament on Wednesday at Evansville, Ind.
Pairings and times for the GLVC Tournament will be announced today.
NKU is ranked No.8 in Division II.
