New team pushes technology
The Cincinnati Enquirer
NEWPORT A new partnership between Southbank and the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce's New Economy Transition Team (NETT) is aimed at helping the river cities promote development through technology.
The partnership, announced Thursday, places emphasis on economic and infrastructure development and promotion of technological advancements in Bellevue, Newport and Covington.
Southbank president Wally Pagan said the city managers of the three cities will meet with NETT members to gain assistance with resources and infrastructure to help current and future companies in the cities be technologically competitive.
Southbank is an economic development partnership formed by the river cities that promotes growth in the cities.
One of its major accomplishments is the creation, with TANK, of the Southbank Shuttle buses which move passengers between the three Kentucky river cities and downtown Cincinnati.
NETT is divided into five resource committees: education/workforce development; bricks and clicks; emerging business development; government relations and legislative affairs; and marketing, events and Web site communications.
